"To see that your life is a story while you're in the middle of living it may be a help to living it well."
Toward all that is unsolved in your heart
Try to love the questions themselves
Do not now seek the answers which cannot be given
Because you would not be able to live them
And the point is to live everything
Live the questions now
Perhaps you will then
Gradually, without noticing
Live along some distant day into the answers.
...one has to allow for the possibility that there cannot be a complete destruction of a human individual's capacity for creative living and that, even in the most extreme case of compliance and the establishment of a false personality, hidden away somewhere there exists a secret life that is satisfactory because of its being creative or original to that human being.
Without any artificial way of adjusting yourself, to express yourself freely is the most important thing for your own happiness and the happiness of those around you.
Do you hear the music in your heart?
The best way out is always through.
Enlightenment is: absolute cooperation with the inevitable.
I am, gratefully, still a work in progress. I have part of one act to go in which to practice conscious living, be there as fully as I can for my children and grandchildren, contribute in whatever ways I can to healing the planet. If I can do these things, I'll be able to die gracefully and without regrets.
...the courage to face whatever life throws at us..., and the humility to treat every situation we encounter as one from which we can learn.

Give yourself a break. Enjoy the day, your normal existence. We have to be kinder to ourselves, much kinder. Listen to your own brook echoing yourself. Alot of problems come from self hatred. Let us let go of that, let us let it go away. Let us be real people. Let us be genuine people.
Wage Peace. Never has the world seemed so fresh and precious. Have a cup of tea and rejoice. Act as if armistice has already arrived. Don't wait another minute.
If one looks within, and is genuinely interested in the truth, one finds treasures beyond imagination.

"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't after happen to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."
Treasure this day, and treasure yourself. Truly, neither will ever happen again.

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.
Happy events make life delightful but they do not lead to self-discovery and growth and freedom. That privilege is reserved to the things and persons and situations that cause us pain.
Every painful event contains in itself a seed of growth and liberation.
Wisdom is a living stream, not an icon preserved in a museum.
Only when we find the spring of wisdom in our own life can it flow to future generations.
Only by knowing the truth can we be set free
There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
